Last Day of School

I know. I know. I know.

I was teaching with Linfield Nursing School this term, and adding that to my plate tipped my scales.  The blog slipped off.  I literally just could not do it on top of everything else.  But for those of you who will have grace for me, here I am.

So, we are back from our AMAZING vacation in Mexico, and I'm feeling refreshed and renewed.  I'm ready to get all of the blog posts that have been in my head (and on my camera) on screen!

The boys just finished school, and I got some cute last day photos.   My how they have grown in just one school year.  It always flies by.  Enjoy, and welcome back :).

LOVE these two little buds.  Last day of going to the same school, sad!

So bummed this one is a bit blurry.  But they are still so cute :)

The kids had an end of year luau.  It was so funny because since we had been gone on vacation, Tyler didn't know the hula moves for their dance.  The video I shot of him looking seriously perplexed during it was priceless.

How adorable were these thank you cards we made the teachers???  Christy got the idea off of Pinterest, so I can't at all take credit for the idea.   Some other creative mom out there gets all the credit.  It was a serious team effort but well worth it.

Family Day @ CM2

We so very rarely have a day off together as a family, let alone a Saturday.  Every time we do, we are reminded how easy it is to be a parent with two grown ups vs one.  You can actually go to the bathroom when you are out somewhere (vs rounding up the whole crew ... a trip to a public bathroom with 2 kids in tow is a whole other blog, lol ... moms you know what I mean ... a toddler's hand or worse inevitably touches the grossest thing in the bathroom whatever it may be; *cringe*).

Anyhow, parenting together is way less like herding cats and much more like enjoying family time.

Never in a million years would I bring my new camera to the Children's Museum on a solo trip.  BUT, since Matt was there, I was able to play around in low light.  I'm still really getting to know this bad boy, but oooo, don't I love him!!!

Happy "real" Saturday ... the first little Jordan family real Saturday in 2013.

I love this picture because I was behind them pretending they were taking me on a trip.  I said, "OH NO I FORGOT DADDY," and Gavin was SO confused because Matt was standing right behind me.  Tyler got it ... G was looking right at Matt trying to figure out what in the world I was talking about :-)

WHOA, I got WET.
The boys were soaked, so they rode home shirtless.

Heat Wave

It has been a deep freeze lately ... at least for what we are used to. When spider webs are frozen, you know it's cold.  No, it's not Halloween ... I just thought this frozen spider web deserved some photographs.   Anyhow, today it hit 40 degrees!  The big thaw!  We seized the non-rainy, non-frozen temps to do some before dinner playing at the park.  Only 4 months to go until we are taking a sunny vacation.  Until then, it's coats and hats and me pretending I'm not freezing to help the boys want to run around and get some energy out outside.

Bike Riders

Tyler took his training wheels off at the first of the year.  Look at him go!!!  Such a big 5-year-old.  It's so dreary and grey this time of year and was almost dark when I took these so since they were at super high ISO (aka grainy) I some fun creatively editing a couple of them.  It's a little "instagram-y," but I had fun :).
