Christmas Program

The Sonshine Express Preschool Christmas Program has quickly become one of the highlights of my holidays.  This year was EXTRA special because we had Gavin, Evan, and all their little friends in the 2's class as well as Tyler and all his pals in the 4s ... plus Mr. Big Time Rowen in Kindergarden (who was a fabulous HVN TV news reporter during the show).  Next year Rowen will officially be an "alum."

We were SOOOOO happy that Auntie Melinda made the long trip to come to the program this year.  We had the best time with you Minda!

I can't even begin to touch on the ULTIMATE CUTENESS of these children singing their hearts out.  We have it on video, so our kids will love looking back on themselves.

This year Ella was Mary, and she was SO proud of herself!  Tyler was a shepherd with Noah W and they said, "Happy Birthday Jesus, welcome to the world!"  They did a fabulous job.  Everyone was so good with their lines and sang their hearts out.

Other than when Gavin decided to kiss and hug Everly mid-song ... the very best part of the show is how much it is focused on Jesus.  The kids wait all season to find out from Teacher Patty what is the best present of all ... what is in the little present that Patty shows them each week during rehearsals??  The picture at the bottom of the little boy clasping his face in suspense is just heartwarming.

When Patty opens the present, she finds a baby Jesus, come to the world for each one of us.  It honestly makes me tear up just thinking about it.  Such a magical, special moment that speaks right to the hearts of not only these precious preschoolers but to everyone in that room.  There is just something about little voices singing to Jesus ... a little taste of heaven itself.

Tyler was hidden from my view most of the program, but here is his cute little shepherd face

In all of these photos, Everly's serious face is the best.  Seriously, check this girl out.

Get me outta here

I adore sweet Bethany.  She is such a doll.

Here comes the real action of the evening ... in for the kiss

Everly for the block

Everly with a change of heart

XOXO Evan :)

Here's the one of the little boy in so much anticipation of Teacher Patty's present reveal ... precious

  1. Oh Jess, your boys (and all of their friends!) are so sweet! I love looking at all these dapper little gentlemen and pretty little ladies in their Christmas best - so cute! It makes me so excited for Lydia to be up on stage for her first time (excited but not anxious, I want her to be a precious baby as long as possible!!).

You always exude so much joy when talking about your family and about Jesus, you are a light Jess!

    xoxo
