Tyler is 4!

Dear Tyler,

Happy birthday to the sweetest, funniest, kindest, smartest, happiest four-year-old boy in my life!  I adore you.  Yesterday, you were whining so I asked you to change your attitude.  You just burst out laughing your incredible belly laugh.  Within 30 seconds you, me, and Gavin were all just cracking up ... for no reason.  That natural happiness will get you so far in life sweet boy.

You are one smart cookie.  You know all the letters (capital and lowercase) and can sound out some words.  You are well on your way to reading.  I bet by this time next year you will be reading full books.  Until then, you just memorize your books and you make sure to correct us when we skip a word!  You remember everything (so I have to be careful what I tell you).

You have incredible energy.  Bikes, gymnastics, running, as long as it's moving its up your alley.  Tumbles and falls don't phase you.

Tyler, your heart is so large and so kind.  You pray for people when they are sick and you genuinely want to know how they are doing.  A year ago we prayed for our friends' son who had cancer, and you still ask me about once a week how Baby Owen is doing (he is doing amazing by the way and just became a big brother).  I'm amazed because sometimes out of the blue you pray for God to bring the sunshine tomorrow, and inevitably, the sun comes out the next day.  When it does, you get so excited and say, "Thank you Lord!"  Your faith and joy is just so genuine.  It is inspiring.

I love watching you be a big brother.  Yesterday,  you let Gavin sit in your lap while you guys were reading books.  It made him giddy to sit with his brother.  Then, you decided to bring in all of your hot wheels cars into Gavin's room to sort into colors because we were trying to teach Gavin about colors.  You were so serious about it.  Gavin is just so lucky to have you as his older brother.  You are excited for Gavin to grow up so he can become your best friend just like Daddy and Uncle Marc.

Speaking of Marc, one of your all time favorite things is when Marc and Daddy stay up "late" playing cards and you get to stay up and eat popcorn with them.  Your other favorite thing is just being with your family and friends.  You can't get enough time with your grands or your friends.  You are definitely a Jordan, social to the core with a tendency towards silliness and a huge loving heart.

Tyler, I love you beyond all words.  My big sweet boy.  All my love, Mommy
